Play the Penny Whistle Melvin Country House is a house full of music. With a strong heritage in traditional Irish music, The Flanagan Family have been making music since the 1800’s.
Attend in a series of 3 Penny Whistle workshops over 4 days with a little extra fun added in.
Day 1
On arrival drop your bags and get ready for your first workshop with afternoon tea Take a break before dinner and perhaps take a little practice time.
Day 2
After breakfast you will be taken for your first workshop, get to know you penny whistle and begin your learning. Break for lunch Back to work for your second Penny Whistle Workshop Free time and Dinner
Day 3
Up early for Workshop No 3 – you are becoming a competent player by now – able to hold a basic tune, remember practice makes perfect. After lunch you can take a little time out to visit Belleek Pottery Visitor Centre (larger groups can be pre-booked) or if you want something a little more challenging why not take the opportunity to walk the Cuilcagh Mountain Board Walk. Return to Melvin country House for dinner followed by the chance to join in with local musicians for a trad session.
Day 4
After Breakfast you have the opportunity to fine tune your playing skills with Workshop No 4. This is you opportunity to really get to grips with the penny whistle and enjoy the opportunity to show off your new found skill! Depart after lunch with your complimentary Penny Whistle and the gift of music.
